1. POWER ON: To turn unit on, press and release the power button. Blue
light will turn on for a few seconds, then a quick green light will blink and
turn off. Unit will start recording video. (Note that this unit is made for
quick deployment so it starts recording video once it is turned on)
2. STANDBY: This unit starts recording video as soon as it is turned
on. Sometimes you just want to get it to stand by. So keep an eye on the indicator
After turning unit on, the blue light will turn on. As soon as you see the green
flickering light, press the power button again. in a second or two, the unit
will go into a steady blue light, standby. Now you can go to any of the three
recording modes from here (VIDEO, PHOTO or AUDIO)
(a). START VIDEO RECORDING: See section 1 above. (b) STOP VIDEO RECORDING: Press
and release power button. Indicator light will return to steady blue. You are
now back to standby mode
(Note: this unit records video in 60 minute files)
4.TAKING PHOTOS: After turning unit on (see section 1), just at point
where green light flickers, press the power button again. This will take unit
directly to standby mode (steady blue light). Now press the POWER/RECORD button
3 times in rapid succession (wihtin 1 second). In a second or two you will notice
the blue and green light blinking alternately. You are now in photo mode.
To take a photo simply press and release power button. The blue light will blink
quickly 2 times, then return to the alternating mode with green. You just took
a photo. Repeat as necessary.
Return to standby: To get out of photo mode and return to general standby (video
standby), triple click the power button again (quick succession). Unit should
not return back to steady blue.
5. AUDIO ONLY RECORDING: To record audio only (not including video),
turn unit on and get to standby. see section 2 above. Then quickly (rapid succession)
press the power button 2 times and release.The blue light will begin blinking
slowly. You are now recording audio only. You can stop audio recording by pressing
the power button once to go back to standby. For this feature, you get back
to regular (video) standby mode when you stop audio recording.
6. MOTION ACTIVATION: You can set this unit to record video in motion
activation mode. Begin by getting to standby mode (section 2). Then in rapid
fire succession click POWER button 4 times. If successful, unit will get into
a steady BLUE/GREEN blink. When motion is detected, the BLUE/GREEN blink will
get faster. You are not recording in motion activation mode. To pause motion
activation recording simply press the power button. You can start again by pressing
the button once again.
To get out of motion recording, first pause motion activated recording, then
quickly press the power button 4 times (quick succession). Unit should now return
to regular (video) standby mode
7. TIME STAMP: Please right click and save the following time stamp file
) to the root section of your device. Once saved, open the file
and change the numbers inside. You will see 20090827133500. The 2009 is year,
the 08 is for month and 27 is for day. then the 13 is the hour (in military
time), the 35 is minutes and 00 is seconds.
After changing those numbers, SAVE back the file. Then unplug the pen from the
computer and TURN IT ON. As soon as it turns on, you can decide to turn it back
off or continue using it. But you must turn it on so that it can absorbe the
time file and change the time.
