CHARGING: This unit must be charged for atleast 4 hrs (or overnight
the first time). It is also advisable to try to use it and drain the battery
(through use) all the way the first 3 times for maximum battery performance.
Total battery life on a full charge is between 1.5hrs and 2hrs.
POWER ON: Turn unit on by pressing the POWER button for about 2 seconds.
Release.Unit will show a steady BLUE/RED light. It may appear more blue than
red, then it will settle on a solid blue. You are now in standby mode.
VIDEO (Day time mode): While in standby mode (steady blue), firmly press
and release the POWER button. The blue light will blink twice and turn off.
You are now recording video. To stop video recording, press the same button
and release. The blue light will return. You are now back in standby mode
VIDEO (Night vision mode): To record video in night vision mode, simply
start recording in normal day time mode as instructed above. Once the light
blinks twice and goes off, then firmly PRESS AND HOLD the MODE button until
you notice a red light. Release. The red light will blink 3 times then turn
off. You are now in night vision recording mode.
To get out of night vision mode without stopping video recording, simply hold
the C button for about 5 seconds. You will not see any lights this time, but
the night vision mode will stop. But video should still be recording.
To stop video recording (in night vision or normal mode) firmly press and release
the power button. The indicator light should return to a steady blue. You are
now back to standby mode.
Repeat as necessary.
VIDEO (Motion Detection mode): While in standby mode (steady blue), firmly
press and release the ONCE, then AGAIN( 2nd time). You should notice that the
indicator light is now not a clean steady blue but a steady purple-ish (RED/BLUE)
color. This is the standby color in motion detection mode. To befin recording
in this mode, firmly press and release the VIDEO button. The Blue/RED light
will blink then turn off. You are now recording in night vision mode. To stop
recording, firmly press and release video button again. The (Blue/REd light
will return to standby mode. Repeat as necessary.
To get out of night vision mode (while in standby), press and release the mode
button until the indicator light returns to a steady blue.
PHOTO: To take a photo, get to standby mode. Then press the MODE button
once (or until you are at a steady red light). Steady red light is PHOTO standby
mode. Now press and release POWER button. The red light will blink once and
return to steady red. You just took a photo.
TIME FILE: It is recommended that you set the time and date stamp file
before deploying your device.
Begin by plugging your device to USB port of your computer. Make sure you locate
the driver for your device.
Now right click and SAVE as the following time file (time.txt),
and save it to the root section of your device. Root section essentially means
not in a folder on the device. After saving
it, double click it from its saved location and change the time and date. Ensure
that you do not change to format.
Now save the file and unplug from computer.
Then immediately turn on the device and then either turn off or record a sample
video to test and ensure time file is accurate. If it is not accurate, repeat
above steps, otherwise you are all set!
