In police studies, the new Advanced Taser gun has a higher instant

of traditional stun technology with a quantum leap in stopping power via

M26C vs. M26 (Law Enforcement Model)
One trigger pull of the M26C or M26 initiates a 5-second cycle. Cycle
times on any "M" series TASER may be interrupted simply by placing
the safey lever in the "safe" position. Per second, both the M26
& M26C TASERs deliver 15-20 pulses of electricity (depending on batteries
used), with 26 watts of power at the main capacitor. The older TASER M18
delivers less power than the M26/M26C, with 12-15pps at 18 watts. There
is no difference between the M26 & M26C TASER units, but civilians may
only purchase air cartridges with a 15-foot range, while law enforcement
officers have access to cartridges with ranges up to 35'.

NEW Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) Technology There are two catagories
of energy weapons: Stun weapons and EMD weapons.
STUN WEAPONS:
Traditional stun technology weapons operate in a 7-14 Watt range and interfere
with the communication signals within the nervous system of the target.
These stun systems primarily effect the sensory nervous system. Like static
on the communication lines between the brain and the body, stun systems
interfere with the human command and control systems. However, a small percentage
of people with a very high tolerance for electrical stimulation can fight
through the effect of these 7-14 Watt systems.
EMD WEAPONS:
EMD weapons use a more powerful 18 to 26 Watt electrical signal to completely
override the central nervous system and directly control the skeletal muscles.
This EMD effect causes an uncontrollable contraction of the muscle tissue,
allowing the M-Series to physically debilitate a target regardless of pain
tolerance or mental focus. The ADVANCED TASER M-Series are EMD weapons --
specifically designed to stop even the most elite, aggressive, focused combatants.
Rather than simply interfering with communication between the brain and
muscles, the ADVANCED TASER EMD systems directly tell the muscles what to
do: contract until the target is in the fetal position on the ground. The
ADVANCED TASER provides for maximum safety for both the officer and the
subject by bringing dangerous situations quickly under control before force
escalates to lethal levels.
USEFUL INFORMATION
The ADVANCED TASER is a less-lethal weapon. It is designed to incapacitate
a target from a safe distance without causing death or permanent injury.
While the medical evidence strongly supports that the ADVANCED
TASER will not cause lasting after effect or fatality, it is important
to remember that the very nature of physical confrontation involves a
degree of risk that someone will get hurt or may even be killed due to
unforeseen circumstances. We therefore urge anyone buying or using a taser
gun to treat this as a serious weapon and used in instances where the
alternative would be to use other types of force that will carry similar
of higher degrees of risk. Remember, someone may be seriously hurt not
as sole result of using a taser gun but as an aid in causing serious if
not fatal injuries.
GENERAL WARNINGS:
NEVER POINT THE ADVANCED TASER AT ANOTHER PERSON UNLESS INTENDING
TO USE.
NEVER AIM THE ADVANCED TASER AT THE EYES OR FACE.
KEEP THE ADVANCED TASER OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
ALWAYS REPLACE LOW BATTERIES.
IN ORDER TO EXTEND THE WEAPON LIFE, AVOID DROPPING UNIT.
KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM THE FRONT OF THE UNIT AT ALL TIMES UNLESS THE SAFETY
SLIDE IS FORWARD AND THE ADVANCED TASER IS DEACTIVATED.
NEVER TILT THE ADVANCED TASER WHEN FIRING (unless you are firing at a target
laying on his side).
IF GOING ON AN AIRPLANE, YOU MUST PUT THE ADVANCED TASER IN YOUR CHECKED
LUGGAGE, IT CANNOT BE CARRIED ON BOARD.
ALWAYS REPLACE AIR CARTRIDGES BY THE EXPIRATION DATE PRINTED ON EACH AIR
CARTRIDGE.
DO NOT FIRE THE ADVANCED TASER NEAR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND FUMES. THE ADVANCED
TASER CAN IGNITE GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAMMABLES. SOME SELF-DEFENSE SPRAYS
ARE FLAMMABLE AND WOULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ADVANCED TASER.
THE ADVANCED TASER CAUSES TEMPORARY PARALYSIS. THIS PARALYSIS CAN BE DANGEROUS
AND EVEN FATAL UNDER SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES. FOR EXAMPLE, SOMEONE TASERED
IN A SWIMMING POOL WOULD PROBABLY DROWN AS THEY COULD NOT SWIM OR SUPPORT
THEMSELVES. DUE TO POTENTIAL DANGERS, ONLY USE THE ADVANCED TASER WHEN ABSOLUTELY
NECESSARY TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE.
ALWAYS MAKE CERTAIN YOUR SAFETY SLIDE IS IN THE LOCKED POSITION WHENEVER
YOUR ADVANCED TASER IS LOADED AND NOT INTENDED FOR IMMEDIATE USE.
WHEN CARRYING THE ADVANCED TASER, STORE IT IN AN ENCLOSED CONTAINER FREE
FROM OTHER ITEMS WHICH MAY INTERFERE WITH OR UNLOCK THE SAFETY.
