Quick Voice Activated Recording Guide: Turn on unit using ON/OFF slider Click M button on the right side of recorder Toggle through the options using the FORWARD or REWIND button until you see the VOS sign. Press the M button again to confirm option. This unit is set to SP by default so no need to change that for Voice-Activated recording. To adjust sensitivity (4 for high sensitivity [recommended] and 0 for low sensitivity) press REC and while on record press the forward button and and keep clicking until the number changes to 4, then press M to confirm. Now you are all set for Voice activated recording. Press the REC button to start recording. If the room is quiet you will notice the VOR flashing, this means unit is in standby mode. Test feature by speaking into unit then stay totally silent and see if it works. Once you start speaking the VOR will dissappear and the recording timer will start counting and when you stop you should see VOR start blinking after a few seconds and the timer will stop. If feature is still not working repeat instructions, refer to the user manual or give us a call! This unit works on human voice. Playing back recordig on recorder (remember it has a built in microphone) Make sure volume is set at around 20. Press the + sign while unit is on until you are at atleast number 20 or higher Click the M button to get to the menu and then click on the FORWARD or BACKWARD button until you see the 888 digits, that is the playback mode. Click M to confirm selection Click the FORWARD or BACKWARD button to select file to play then select the PLAY/STOP button to play or stop playback. NOTE: We recommend the VLC media player to play the audio files on your computer
