Using your coat hanger

1. Before doing anything you will first need to insert the SD card that you bought with this unit. Please see diagram below on how and where to insert the SD card.







2. Once you have inserted battery and SD card properly, close back panels.

3. Turn on the switch at back of unit. See first diagram above.

4. We always recommend you test drive the unit before deploying it.


Setting time:
To set time right click and save the following file (time.txt) onto the SD card you will be putting into the hook DVR. Then once you insert the SD card and turn on the hook DVR. Once you save it then double click the time file and the time should update. Now the time on the videos should read correctly. Note that the time file updates to the time on your computer so make sure your computer time/clock is correct..

Recording video:
1. To record video first press the ON/OFF button for about 3 seconds. The indicator light should turn on to red then settle to a steady blue in a few seconds. This means the unit is now ready for the next instruction.
2. Now press the VIDEO RECORD buton (see remote picture). To stop video recording just press the same button again and unit will settle to steady blue once again. Repeat this feature or other features. Always make sure unit is in stanby mode (steady blue) before you attempt to use a different feature.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:

If the unt is not working then it means either you have not inserted and SD card or not inserted it properly. Also battery must be inserted properly into unit. If all these things have been done correctly then please contact us for additional tech support. Thank you.
