The spray conforms to the requirements of the State of Michigan. Mace Michigan Approved Pocket Model PepperGard Contains OC Pepper and UV DYE.

Why does Michigan need a special type of pepper spray?
Well it has to do with the concentration mix and strength. OC Pepper Spray can be no stronger than a 2% concentrate. CS is the only Tear Gas accepted in Michigan and can be no larger then 35 grams per can. No combination spray allowed.

Both tear gas and pepper spray have very good safety records. The U.S. Army reports that CS has never been implicated in a human death despite years of use. Civilian use of pepper spray also has a very good safety record.

Pepper Spray Hurts! It causes irritation. And that's the goal. Criminals hate pain! Just like you and I can't stand it. Let alone pain to the eyes! You want to inflict just a strong enough level of irritation on a no-good doer so that you can escape a dangerous situation and call the police or 911. That's exactly what our Michigan Approved Pocket Peppergard Does!

Reminder:

Using Michigan approved tear gas requires practice. Practice makes perfect. You want to know where it is, how to activate it and spray it and hit your target! All in good time. No fancy moves like throwing it in the air, then swinging it under one leg, then catching it with the other hand, before spraying! Like any weapon, you will only be using this in critical self defense situations.

True Customer Encounter: flashlight stun gun

A while back, we asked some of our customers to tell us their experiences of using the pepper spray or stun guns they bought from us. Well the truth is many of them have not had the chance of using theirs yet. Only a tiny percentage of them have actually used theirs. All it means is that these are careful individuals who take all necesary precautionary measures when they are out in public. We did however get ONE person who actually did end up using hers. She was walking back from work one night and some loser came up to her and asked her to give him "all your money" (This was a very classic case). She said ok. Somehow she had the idea of having one spray in her handbag and the other on her keychain. She co operated. She didn't make any unnecassary moves. So she went into her handbag and took out some very HOT money and GAVE IT to the would be robber. Boy was he surprised. She quickly ran to a populated area and called 911. By the time the cops came, the thief was still trying to rub the pepper spray from his eyes. He was one sorry clown! He was apprehended and the lady is safe.
