AURA Ductless Fume Enclosure

This Ductless Fume Enclosure provides safe working conditions when latent print powders are being used and chemical latent print development is done. There is no need for building renovation. Just set it up, plug it in, insert the filters and use it. This unit incorporates a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter rated at 99.99% minimum efficiency for 0.3 microns or larger, or an activiated Carbon filter for solvent usage, or a combination of both filters for both uses. The air flow is adjustable by a solid state speed control. This unit meets and exceeds OSHA and ANSI Z9.5 standards.

The AURA Ductless Fume Enclosure consists of a head section with an Advanced Monitoring System, a variable speed blower and fluorescent lighting. There are chemically-resistant acrylic panels and a deep spill tray. Use two Hydrocarbon filters and two Hydrocarbon Safety filters if you are using liquid chemicals in the enclosure. If you are using only latent print powders, you need two HEPA filters and one HEPA Safety filter. If you are going to use a mixture of powders and liquid chemicals, you need two Hydrocarbon filters to screen the fumes from the liquids and one HEPA Safety filter to screen the powders. It is recommended that the pre-filter be changed about every 3-6 months, depending on your usage. With the Hydrocarbon filter, safely use solvents, such as Glacial Acetic Acid, Acetonitrile, Ethyl Alcohol, Methylene Chloride, Petroleum Ether, Acetone, Cyclohexane, 2-Propanol, Ethyl Acetate and Xylene among others.

The Advanced Monitor is a microprocessor-based monitoring system that senses both hydrocarbon-output and air-velocity levels. A numeric keypad on the head section allows data input of filter type and maximum time allowance for filter use. Audible and visual alarms alert the operator when the filters are blocked, incorectly inserted or need to be replaced. The unit is portable and can be moved from room to room. The Spill Tray can be removed and the AURA Ductless Fume Enclosure can be placed over a counter sink or other work area as needed.
