900 MHz FM Wireless wireless audio/video 500mw A/V Transmitter
The new 900 megahertz wireless video/audio transmitter is a tiny 1 wide
X 1.99 high X a very slim .33 thick and weighs only 3/4 ounce. Power
requirement is 12 volts at 250 milliamps. Transmits crystal clear video and
audio. Standard RCA jacks are compatible with any of our plug and play cameras.
Power output is a very strong 500 milliwatts for range
of up to 1 mile with standard rubber whip antennas! Even longer ranges
are attainable with the optional Yagi receiver antenna.

Important information about this unit:
Please note that this device broadcasts on a 900mhz frequency band that is FCC
restricted for use by ARS (Amateur Radio Service) Licensees. It is the responsibility
of the purchaser to be properly licensed to transmit using this device.
Please visit: http://www.fcc.gov for more information about obtaining ARS licensing.
The AVX-900-T4 is designed in a metal housing to provide years of trouble free
service.
Its modular design and small size allows the unit to be installed into
numerous items with relative ease. The AVX-900-T4 comes pre-configured and ready
to operate. All
the user needs to do is apply DC power to the wiring harness plug, and connect
a video and/or audio source to the inputs. This unit is officially rated at
12v DC 250mA
(center pin positive), but should operate at reduced output with lower power
levels.
At full 12 volt power, the power output should be 500mW, on a single frequency
of 910.10 mhz. You may notice small switches on the backside of the T4 transmitter.
These switches should be
secured from the factory, and should not be adjusted or modified in any way.
These transmitters share only a single compatible frequency with our AVX-900-R1.
Any adjustments will not be received by the AVX-900-R1, and may interfere with
restricted government radio frequencies such as emergency response, and aircraft
navigation frequencies. Do not adjust the switches.
The AVX-900-T4 is designed to be as small and lightweight as possible. With
this in mind it does not include heat reducing components that are found on
much larger transmitters. Due to this we recommend using only battery power
sources for the AVX-900-T4 and limiting continuous operation time to 8 hours
or less. Because the transmitter will generate significant heat when operating,
it should be positioned so air is able to move over the metal housing. The unit
will become extremely hot, and may pose a fire hazard if it is operated in an
area where sufficient ventilation is not possible. The AVX-900-T4 is not waterproof
and should be kept away from moisture. Safetybasement has successfully tested
these units in ideal, open air, line of sight conditions to a range of 1 mile,
using the standard rubber whip antennas. Your operating range may vary dramatically
depending on any number of factors including but not limited to, weather, area
radio interference, and building structures. For best performance, the antenna
should be positioned vertically at the same angle as the receiver antenna.
Signal reception is best handled by a unit such as the AVX-900-R1 4 channel
AV receiver. (only one channel is shared with the T4 transmitter)
