Live scan systems and devices save considerable time and provide consistency
in producing multiple copies of fingerprint cards. They are easily adapted
to access control, payment systems, computer security, and prisoner controls.
However, for a variety of reasons, some people have skin conditions that
make it difficult to get clear prints. To correct this problem, PreScan,
a proprietary formula, has been developed with positive results reported
by livescan manufacturers and users alike. PreScan, is dispensed through
a ceramic finger pad, which dramatically increases ridge-line detail when
the fingers are rolled or touched, first on the pad and then onto the platen.
Available in two sizes for single finger and large live-scan platens.

 With
"Live Scan" fingerprinting units, the resulting fingerprints may
not be perfect. This is because the skin of the finger is not making good
contact with the scanner glass. The solution to this problem is the Identicator®
Pre-Scan pad. This pad puts the perfect amount of solution on the skin to
make the best contact between the finger and the scanner. Roll the finger
on the Pre-Scan Pad first (no colored residue is visible on the finger),
and then roll the finger on the scanner for dramatically improved results.
There is no need to guess how much chemical to put on the fingers. With
this pad, there is always the right amount. The pad is 3" x 4 1/2"
and is good for about 16,000 impressions.
